Edwin Lau
Edwin Lau has over 23 years of experience in real estate development and consultancy across China. He co-founded his own real estate development consultancy firm in 2014. His recent transactions include the acquisition of the first medical redevelopment project in Kowloon East of Hong Kong Baptist Hospital and an en-bloc transaction of the hotel in Kennedy Town redeveloped from a residential property.
Prior to starting his own firm, Edwin was responsible for land and property acquisition at Walmart (China) Investment Co. Ltd. and Frasers Property (China) Ltd. (a former subsidiary of Singapore Temasek Holdings & Fraser and Neave Group) across China including Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing, Guangzhou, Hangzhou and Suzhou. He started his career as a management trainee at K. Wah Real Estate Co. Ltd. with responsibilities in land development, sales and marketing, property management, and legal and finance departments.
He was one of the guest speakers at the China Property Day Seminar of UBS Investment Bank in 2006. He has been the executive mentor in 2022 and a JUPUS interviewer of the Department of Marketing of the City University of Hong Kong since 2016.
